My Story 

I started Barometer Coffee in 2021, bringing together my background in hospitality and my appreciation for thoughtfully sourced, well roasted coffee.
 

Based in Ballard, I roast in small batches with a focus on rich, balanced profiles. I tend to gravitate toward coffees with notes of chocolate, nuts, subtle sweetness, and smooth finishes.
 

My goal is to make coffee that's just as enjoyable in your everyday morning routine as it is when shared with good company.

Why the name Barometer?

I've always loved the Pacific Northwest and the way life here revolves around the weather, the water, and the changing seasons. A barometer measures atmospheric pressure, giving us a sense of what's coming.

The name felt like a natural fit for a coffee company rooted in this part of the world. A little nautical, a little nostalgic, and a nod to the daily ritual of making a good cup of coffee.

To me, responsibility goes beyond the coffee itself. It extends to the people who grow it, the partners I work with, and the community around Barometer.
 

I prioritize responsibly sourced coffees and suppliers who share my values around fair labor practices, environmental stewardship, and long term sustainability.
 

I also believe good coffee is for everyone. Barometer welcomes and supports people of all nationalities, races, tribal affiliations, gender identities, sexual orientations, abilities, and backgrounds. Respect and inclusion are important to me, and they're part of how I want to build this business.
 

Good Coffee, Delivered​

Barometer doesn't have a storefront (yet), so I've made it as easy as possible to get Barometer Coffee delivered right to you.
 

I offer free doorstep delivery throughout Ballard, Fremont, Wallingford, Queen Anne, and Magnolia.
 

For those lucky enough to live on the water, I also offer free dockside delivery to marinas along Lake Union and the Ballard Ship Canal, including Fishermen's Terminal and Shilshole Bay Marina.
 

I've partnered with Ballard Boat Watch to bring Barometer right to your slip. Freshly roasted coffee delivered by boat. Pretty fun, right?
 

Not local? No problem. I also ship nationwide and to many other countries, so you can enjoy Barometer wherever you call home.

We occasionally share discount codes through Instagram.
 

We also offer 10% off for teachers, medical professionals, and first responders — because they deserve great coffee most. Just reach out for the code!
